Tax Pro Vault is an enterprise-grade, cloud-based password management and automation solution specifically designed for chartered accountants and tax professionals. The system addresses the critical challenge of managing hundreds of client portal credentials across multiple government tax portals (Income Tax, GST, TDS, MCA, etc.) while ensuring security, compliance, and operational efficiency.

As CAs, we talk about digital transformation - but if our password management isn’t digital, secure, and structured, we’re missing a fundamental step toward that transformation.

2. Problem Statement

In most accounting or tax firms, passwords are managed in a completely unstructured way:

1. Some are stored in Excel sheets without encryption.
2. Some are written in diaries.
3. Some are shared via WhatsApp or email.
4. And some are just remembered by staff members.

This creates three major problems:

1. Data Security: Anyone with that file can access all credentials.
2. Team Dependency: If one person leaves, critical passwords are lost.
3. Inefficiency: Searching, updating, and sharing credentials becomes time-consuming.

As CAs, we talk about digital transformation — but if our password management isn’t digital, secure, and structured, we’re missing a fundamental step toward that transformation.

The solution consists of two integrated components:

1. Web-based Admin Panel: A comprehensive management interface for centralized credential management, user administration, and system configuration.

2. Chrome Extension: A browser extension that provides one-click automated login to tax portals, eliminating manual credential entry and reducing login time from 15-20 minutes to just 10 seconds.

From the technology side, I’ve designed it as a hybrid offline-online system:

1. The Admin Panel works offline, ensuring that no password data is accessible from external networks while you’re working locally.
2. The Firebase integration keeps your encrypted database synchronized securely in the cloud - so that even if your system crashes, your data remains safe.
3. The Browser Extension interacts with the same Firebase database, allowing you to auto-login to client portals with a single click -no more copying and pasting passwords.

I developed the admin panel using Vibe Coding (AI-assisted development) and designed the interface using Google Stitch, making it both visually clean and intuitive.
