1. Background

Finance teams often need answers that Tally does not provide quickly in a review format. For ageing, ledger movement, variance checks, TDS review, GST analysis, and management discussions, users usually export data into Excel and rebuild the logic manually. This is slow, repetitive, and dependent on whoever extracted the data.

2. What FinAnalyzer Does

FinAnalyzer is a local-first utility that loads accounting data once from Tally and converts it into a review-ready analytical environment. After import, the reviewer can analyse ledgers, vouchers, ageing, P&L movement, cash flow, and compliance indicators without reopening Tally for each question.

3. Core Workflow

1. Export data once from Tally / TSF. 2. Load the file into FinAnalyzer. 3. Select the required module such as ledger analytics, ageing, P&L, GST, or TDS. 4. Drill down into vouchers and balances to understand the reason behind each figure. 5. Use the output for audit review, MIS, compliance, and remote partner review.

4. Main Use Cases

• Ledger movement review: The user selects any ledger and sees the full transaction movement behind the balance.

• FIFO debtor and creditor ageing: Outstanding balances can be analysed party-wise to identify overdue receivables and payable ageing.

• Financial review: P&L, trial balance, cash flow, and period movement can be reviewed in a cleaner analytical view.

• Compliance review: TDS and GST patterns can be tested before filing deadlines and exception points can be flagged.

• Remote review: A file generated at the client site can be reviewed elsewhere without giving direct Tally access.

5. Representative Modules

• Ledger Analytics: Full ledger movement, voucher trace, and balance build-up.

• Voucher Review: Transaction-level checking for selected periods, accounts, and parties.

• Ageing Analysis: Debtor and creditor ageing with FIFO-based understanding of outstanding balances.

• P&L and Cash Flow: Review of financial movement with period comparison.

• TDS and GST Review: Compliance-focused review for deductions, sales, purchases, and exceptions.

6. Business Value

• Speed: Less time spent reopening Tally and manually tracing balances.

• Clarity: Cleaner understanding of how balances and movements are built.

• Control: Local processing supports privacy-sensitive financial review.

• Repeatability: The same review logic can be applied again across periods and entities.

• Portability: Review can be performed outside the source accounting system.

7. Conclusion

FinAnalyzer addresses a real finance review problem: the gap between raw accounting data and usable analysis. Its purpose is to help accountants, auditors, and finance reviewers move from data extraction to insight faster, with better portability, privacy, and con
